Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 September 2026
These terms cover your use of Mail-Wise, run by Tibor Rames, a sole trader in the UK ("we", "us"). By signing in or buying credits you agree to them.
1. What Mail-Wise does
Mail-Wise is an AI writing tool. It drafts emails (pitches, follow-ups, payment reminders) that you review, edit and send yourself, from your own email account, in your own name. We don't send anything on your behalf. We are not a debt collection agency or a law firm, and nothing we generate is legal advice.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep that account secure; anything done through it on Mail-Wise counts as done by you. New accounts get 5 free drafts.
3. Credits and payment
- One credit buys one draft. Credit packs and prices are shown on the pricing page in GBP, and you pay once per pack through Stripe. There's no subscription.
- Credits are added as soon as payment clears. Paid credits don't expire while Mail-Wise is running. If we ever shut it down, we'll refund paid credits you haven't used.
- If a draft fails to generate, the credit goes back to your balance automatically.
4. Cancelling and refunds
At checkout you ask us to make your credits available straight away and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right to cancel for credits you use. Within 14 days of buying, email hello@mail-wise.uk and we'll refund the credits from that pack you haven't used. If you get a full refund or open a payment dispute, the credits from that pack are removed from your balance. This doesn't affect your statutory rights, including if a draft is faulty.
5. Using it properly
You're responsible for what you send. Don't use Mail-Wise to:
- send spam or unsolicited marketing that breaks UK electronic marketing rules (PECR);
- harass, threaten or mislead anyone, including people who owe you money;
- chase money you aren't actually owed, or make anything illegal, defamatory or infringing;
- overload, scrape or attack the service, or get around the credit system.
We can suspend accounts that break these rules. If we do, we'll refund unused paid credits unless the account was used for fraud.
6. AI drafts
Drafts are generated by an AI model and can be wrong, off-tone or out of date. Read every draft before you send it. You own the drafts you generate and can use them however you like.
7. Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us exclude. If you use Mail-Wise as a consumer, you keep all your statutory rights. If you use it for business, our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect loss.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't apply to credits you've already bought if they'd make things worse for you.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
